Other Things to Visit in the Area

• The Brissago Islands with a botanical garden, 

You can get there by a 15-minute boat ride from Ascona.  Maybe ask the reception to book you a taxi to get to the boat.

• Castles of Bellinzona. 

Note this is our backup field trip location if we have bad weather for Cardada.

• Valle Verzasca for hiking. 

If you go here, plan at least ½ a day. Car highly recommended but it is possible by public transport.

• Locarno or Ascona walk around.  

Ascona is about a 10 minute walk down hill to get there. 

• Hiking to places of power 

• Museums

There is a museum on site that shows the history and importance of Monte Verita. It is suggested you have 2 hours to look at everything. Speak to reception for updated hours.

Currently it is open Sunday: all day, Wed-Sat Afternoon 2-6 pm
